Technical Analyst IT - Customer Projects

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION: Provide deep technical expertise to support delivery and maintenance of IT solutions. Inform IT teams and business personnel with technology solutions by weighing advantages of technology standards, market availability of products, risks and benefits of technology to meet business/IT needs.   This is a technical individual contributor position that works under minimal supervision and performs routine and non-routine work.  This position is expected to work with System Integrator Consultant Teams as well as other Exelon teams on all technical activities.  This person will also mentor less experienced colleagues.    Position will be involved in activities of projects that impact customer technology platforms, such as CIMS, CC&B, and SAP from project initiation through close-out.  Performs and/or manages activities relating to planning, gathering business requirements, designing, building, and maintaining high quality solutions, products and processes.  Additional work around coding and overall standardizing coding practices and methodologies, technical architecture and hardware systems sizing and analysis will be required.   Position may require working extended hours and/or shift work to support the Customer Project delivery milestones.  Roles and Responsibilities:   The following are standard duties and responsibilities for a Lead Analyst IT.  However, the duties and responsibilities for this position will be more related to customer strategic projects as described in the job purpose above. Perform, manage and appropriately document work activities relating to projects, sub-projects, or processes.   Plan, gather common business requirements, design, and build high quality IT software solutions in accordance with IT project management standards.   Assist in creation of required project documentation for products and services. Use best practices to improve products and services provided to business unit partners, and monitor adherence within Team/Group to standards as defined within the Management Model.   Maintain and enhance engagement with business and IT partners and other stakeholders   Establish positive team environment by proactively assisting and training less experienced personnel. Provide performance and development feedback as required.      Maintain technical knowledge and business acumen within own discipline or function   PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES: - Provide technical expertise and/or engineering support for maintaining performance and reliability of key IT solutions. Contribute to project technical architecture design and development. - Assist IT Architecture and Engineering community in planning the introduction of new technologies and/or identifying the most appropriate technology choices to accomplish goals by utilizing Exelons standard governance process as outlined in the Management Model. Ensure appropriate implementation of technology both within the production and the development environments take place. - Build and maintain knowledge of new technologies or technology opportunities and assists in development of analysis of their use for business and/or IT clients. - Identify and provide Business and IT data on IT trends and issues. Participate in IT architecture review and standards setting. Assist in the development of white papers, conducting presentations as needed to explain why a technology is being recommended by IT. - Maintain and enhance engagement with business and IT partners. - Maintain technical knowledge and business acumen within own discipline or function - Provide performance evaluations, career development feedback, and recognition as required.   Qualifications   Requirements:   Minimum:   - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline and typically 5 to 8 years experience in maintaining CIS applications or equivalent combination of education and work experience.   - Appropriate technical skills to analyze data and evaluate solutions.  Design, build and test applications.   - Strong knowledge of business practices and processes in Customer Information Systems.   - Experience leading small IT projects or sub-teams and knowledge of IT project management   - Strong problem solving and analysis ability   - Excellent communications skills (written and verbal)   - Ability to work with remote project teams   PREFERRED:   - Utilize understanding of customer's business needs to determine requirements   - Applies technical expertise to plan, design, build or supportrequired products and processes   - Help other team members learn appropriate theories, practices and principles that relate to their skill set portfolio   - As assigned, recent coding and or scriptingexperience   - As assigned, manage working relationship with outsourcing partners 215196

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
